Donate Link Up

I’ve added a Donate button, to the right at the top of the sidebar.  Any donations would be appreciated, that would help me, the developer, immensely.  I’m fairly short on cash, so the more donations I get, the more time I’ll likely have for bmesh.

Well this is great news, as I am new to blender I am finding it very frustrating to say the least with the lack of N-Gons to move forward in box modeling humans. I have started to look at Silo and with the sale price of $129.99 I am leaning towards getting it. But if this is coming down the pike I would rather donate to you. How long is the projected time line for this project?

Thanks for undertaking this monumental task and best of luck. Keep us posted so we can get excited and start feeding you some cash!

I expect to have something usable in no later then 4-6 months. However, it may be longer for better tools (e.g. a new knife tool and whatever other good ideas people come up with) to get completed/usable. Also, this is part of the 2.5 project, and no one really knows how long it’ll be before 2.5 is released (and there’s no guarantee bmesh will be in the first 2.5 release either).

In the meantime, you could try working around the current problems in blender, use wings3d, or buy silo. 🙂
